The Vera Institute of Justice is an independent nonprofit research and policy organization working to improve justice systems across the country. The organization retained L&K Partners/Newgrange Construction to provide construction management and general contracting services in their move to their new headquarters in Brooklyn’s Industry City neighborhood. Originally an old manufacturing warehouse, the two-floor 36,000 sf office space is connected by a decorated cast-iron staircase. Spurring creativity within the workspace, the headquarters features local artistry and flexible meeting and presentation space. The project, in partnership with STUDIOS design, was honored as a CORENET NYC chapter project of the year.
