Stephan Starr and Starr Restaurant Group hired L&K/Newgrange Construction as the construction manager for the build-out of their spacious 4,000 sf restaurant, Le Coucou, located inside of Soho’s 11 Howard Hotel. The award winning French restaurant is a carefully choreographed dining experience, featuring a triple-hung window, striped-down brick walls, high arch openings and vaulted ceilings. Working closely with the owners and the Roman and Williams design team, we executed the installation of several custom pieces including kitchen equipment imported from France, dramatic chandeliers and gold-gilded mirrors lining the dining room, and a hand-painted mural inspired by the French countryside. From an aged Manhattan building to “NYC’s buzziest reservation”, we are proud to have partnered with Starr Restaurants to build a timeless, elegant space and are delighted that the restaurant has officially reopened after the Covid shutdown.
